Kingborough Council

Kingborough Bicycle Advisory Committee (KBAC) meets bi-monthly at the council offices in Kingston. It is made up of local residents, a council officer and an elected councillor. KBAC discusses improvements needed to the bike network, proposed infrastructure projects and activities to promote cycling.

Projects

The Channel Highway between Taroona and Kettering is an important cycling route that is being tackled in sections to improve amenity and safety for road riders.

Whitewater Creek Trail

The Whitewater Creek Trail is a major connector between the Kingston Town Centre, new subdivisions and the sports precinct.

The Channel Trail concept extends for 2okm from Kingston to Kettering. It has significant tourism potential and is a flagship project in the cycling strategy.
