Glenorchy MTB Park

Signage-Aug 2014Aug 2014. New signage has been installed at the park to make it easier for visitors to find their way around. Map boards and directional signage will guide riders around threee recommended loops (1 x beginners, 2 x intermediate) and all the trails are now graded and signposted to IMBA standards. Some track work has been done including sections of the North-South Track and upgrading of the access trail between the main bike hub beside the downhill jumps and the Water Fire Trail.

A shortened North Shore Track will be reopened in the next few months after being closed for many years. The pines around the North Shore track have been cleared. Degraded and overgrown ramps and boarded jumps have been removed.

Sept 2013. Glenorchy City Council is preparing a plan to improve signage and wayfinding within the park. The current maps are outdated, visitors have difficulty finding their way and the popular North-South Track is difficult fo find at the Glenorchy end. The project should help make the park more user-friendly and inviting.
