5 Nov 2010. Cycling South received the Collaboration award in recognition for the combined efforts of the 5 Hobart region councils in developing the Hobart Regional Arterial Bicycle Network Plan. The biggest barrier for people riding bikes, even for very short trips, is fear of traffic. The Hobart Regional Arterial Bicycle Network Plan aims to address this by guiding the development of cycleways, multi-user paths and bike lanes to give people space to ride in comfort.
