Children's bike Education Track
Apr 2016. Council is constructing a children's bike education track in Wentworth Park near the existing children's playground off Salacia Ave, Howrah. The track includes traffic lights, roundabouts and intersections to help children develop their knowledge of road environments as well as practice their cycling, overcome the wobbles and learn to stop, start and steer. It is expected to be very popular as it is the only track close to Hobart. Other bicycle educational tracks are located in Margate, Brighton, New Norfolk and Glenorchy (although the Glenorchy track was developed into a skate park). The track is expected to be open in May.
